Spiritual Quote of the Day 5.1.13

“Church is WITHIN, not a physical manmade structure but the spiritual one-ness that you have with God. That doesn’t mean (or promote) avoiding the physical structure we call church, because that is where we go to worship, praise, connect, and have fellowship with other believers. It means that you can have church several times a day every day, and anywhere you choose if you so choose”.

  1. Hello Natasha, I love your definition of church. It causes us to rethink “church,” which broadens our thoughts, leading to an openness that encourages us to “be church” rather than “do church.” Possibly, your definition is what Jesus had in mind when he told Peter (Matt 16:18), “on this rock I build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.” Be Blessed, Your Friend, Belinda

    • Thank you Belinda. I agree with the connection you made about Jesus and his church. I also agree that we must be the church and not “do church”, as we must be more concerned with what comes from worship and praise, rather than the religious rituals associated with church.

I’m amazed how many people walk into that physical building but can only recall less than 20% of the sermon and lessons taught.

      Thank you for sharing!

      Love,
      Natasha
